Day 11

Greg Wants You!

Today I was back at Sunrise Mountain High School for a couple of things…

For one, I turned in my volunteer sign-up form at the office. With having this done now there are apparently a lot of volunteer opportunities that can open up. Kim, the front desk admin at the school (who also happens to be a Christian!) shared that volunteers would be needed in the weeks ahead for fundraisers, admin help, sporting events, tutoring and more. I’m excited to get going with one or more of these things, and next week I’m scheduled to go back and connect with the counseling department to learn how I can serve there.  I have a feeling that God could be opening up opportunities for a number of people to serve here in some really cools ways.

The other thing I was there to do was to connect again with our friend, Greg, head of facilities at Sunrise Mountain. Greg is the one who does such  job helping us to get set-up and tear down taken care of each Sunday. And so we’ve been asking him what needs the school has that we can help him with and now we have an answer…

Greg Wants You! and me to help with a painting job on the campus that will restore some color and school spirit to Sunrise Mountain. Here are the details…

Painting Project                                                                                            Sunday March 13, 12:30 p.m.                                                                                Next Sunday, we get the chance to help the facilities staff at Sunrise Mountain High School by painting a number of Mustang ‘horse shoe prints’ on the sidewalks around campus. Total time: 1-2 hours.

Just comment on this post if you are in, and we’ll see you there!
